I decided to take CSC104 because I have never taken computer science related course so I wanted to try it out. I have also heard from upper year students that CSC104 is a interesting course and that I should take the course.

From taking this course, I hope to get basic knowledge about computer science and basic programming. By the end of the course, I hope I get more familiarized with DrRacket and the computational languages.

I expected the programming to involve lot of math but from my experience in the course so far, there is lot of concepts and coding involved in the course.  I also didn't know computation required lot of functions and all of those functions have meanings. Program like DrRacket was also new to me as I have not used this kind of computer program before.

I find DrRacket programming interesting to use as it allows for you to define, compute values and design computational codes. Working with images and functions on the DrRacket program is very interesting.

I find the course difficult when the codes become long it becomes kind of complicated. I expected the course to be very easy but actually there are lot of concepts to know and it requires lot of understandings. Sometimes I get confused when I thought I computed right functions and it does not work which then I need to search for my errors.

I read over the lecture notes to study for the quizzes. I looked over the examples and functions discussed in class. I think I need to get more familiarized to using DrRacket and to understand the computing concepts to improve my performance on quizzes. I should also rewatch some of the lectures for things I might have missed during the lecture.

There is no specific computer science topics that I am interested in right now but maybe through this course I would gain more interest to computer science.
